Summit Welcomes New Team Members to Group Benefits Division

OKLAHOMA CITY- Summit Financial Group, Inc. is excited to welcome Senior Account Managers Alicia Tiefenthaler and Kim Mitchell to their Group Benefits Team.

Kim Mitchell brings over 35 years of experience in underwriting, consulting, marketing and management experience to Summit’s Benefits Division. Her experience in working with employers in all market segments and industries is an essential component of her ability to provide best-in-class consultation to Summit’s diverse clientele. Her focus is in servicing Summit’s large group clients in the 100+ market. Prior to her transition to Summit, Kim had an extensive and accomplished career in various roles with Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she worked as an Underwriter, Product Development Manager and Senior Manager of National Accounts. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and holds her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation through the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) program.

Alicia Tiefenthaler joins Summit following a decade of experience with multiple brokerage firms; the years prior to which she spent on the provider side of the healthcare industry. She has spent much of her career in administrative and business develop positions at large provider networks, including Hillcrest Healthcare System and Ardent Health Systems. Alicia holds a Certification in Advanced Self-Funding, a master’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Oklahoma (where she also earned her bachelor’s degree), and an Oklahoma Life and Health license. Alicia’s career-long involvement with the Tulsa National Association of Health Underwriters, Tulsa Chamber of Commerce and Tulsa Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) has kept her at the forefront of industry-leading benefit and HR solutions, and is a critical component of the continued quality of service that she provides her clients. Since joining Summit, Alicia’s focus has also been in servicing Summit’s large group clients (100+ employees).
