National financial firm announces key hires in Oklahoma City

DALLAS – Summit, a national firm providing benefits, insurance and investment solutions, recently hired two new leadership team members in their Oklahoma City office. David Fleet will serve as executive vice president of Benefits – Sales, and Dan Oliver will serve as practice leader and executive vice president of Benefits.

In his role, Fleet will leverage his close relationships with major carrier and vendor markets to develop strategic, long-term plans for clients in the employee benefits space. Fleet brings more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and holds various insurance designations, including Registered Health Underwriters (RHU) and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC). He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and has served various community organizations, such as the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the Oklahoma City Downtown Rotary Club 29.

Oliver focuses on serving clients in the self-funded large group market to provide custom solutions for their group benefits needs. Oliver joins Summit after more than 35 years in the insurance industry. His work in sales and management roles across a variety of national carriers uniquely positions him as an expert with a deep understanding of clients across sectors – including for-profit, nonprofit, public, private and tribal organizations. Oliver is an active member and past president of the Oklahoma City Association of Health Underwriters and the Oklahoma State Association of Health Underwriters, and has been awarded the Health Underwriter of the Year by both groups. Oliver holds a Health Insurance Associate designation, as well as Life, Health and Property, and Casualty licenses, and is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
