Kaci Skidgel*, QPFC, AIF®
Kaci Skidgel is the executive vice president of corporate retirement plans for Summit Financial Group. She oversees SFG’s group retirement planning and individual wealth management division. In addition to her leadership role, Kaci is responsible for advising and managing corporate and individual retirement plans for approximately 1,000 clients. As an Investment Advisor Representative, she oversees client investment securities of more than $450 million of retirement assets alone.
Kaci holds a number of designations, distinctions and licenses for investment securities and insurance coverages. She is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and has earned her Series 6, 63 and 65. Kaci is a Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC), a member of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) and the ASPPA Benefits Council of the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter. Kaci was acknowledged as one of the Top Women Advisors by NAPA in 2015.
She is often called upon to lead seminars and contribute to regulatory forums and training sessions. Previous engagements include the Society for Human Resources Management, Oklahoma Bankers Association, and the local chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators. Topics cover a wide and in-depth range of pension and retirement related issues, such as the Pension Reform Bill, the Regulatory Landscape and ERISA fiduciary training. She has been interviewed by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and contributed to a published article on Target Date Funds.
Kaci is bilingual, speaking Spanish fluently. She enjoys traveling and is inspired by the diversity of other cultures throughout the world. In fact, she has lived for extended periods in Spain and Mexico. In 1999, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Education from Oral Roberts University.
Kaci is an athlete by nature, with a deep passion for sports and competition. She played NCAA Division I soccer and continues to be a dedicated runner, having run the Chicago Marathon and the Rock and Roll Marathon in Nashville, TN. She is civic-minded, serving her hometown community as a board member of Reading Partners, as a chairperson for YoungLives and in PEO.
Most importantly, Kaci relishes the role of raising her teenage son, Nathan, and values spending quality time hanging out with family and friends, baking, playing cards and being outdoors.
