Daniel G. Keating
Daniel Keating is president of Summit Consolidated Group, the parent company of Summit Financial Group and its affiliated companies. He also serves as Senior Relationship Manager to a number of Summit clients.
Honor, duty, service and leadership are ingrained in Dan’s life. As a young man, after earning an undergraduate and MBA degrees, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served a thirteen-month tour of duty in Vietnam with the 5th Marine Regiment. He would later retire from the Marine Corps Reserves at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
However, Dan’s calling for service is unending, and his leadership is felt both in his home state of Oklahoma and on a national level. President George W. Bush appointed Daniel to the Board of Advisors on Tribal Colleges and Universities in 2002. He is also a three-time delegate to the Republican National Convention. At the state level, he is the director of the State Chamber, and in 2011, Dan received the Partners in Education Award from the Tulsa Chamber and Tulsa Public Schools. He is a board member of the Salvation Army, a Regent for Tulsa Community College, Chairman of Tulsa’s Transportation Advisory Board, a sponsor of McLain High School’s golf program and serves on the Foundation board of Oklahoma Wesleyan University. He is a past Vice Chairman of the State Chamber and has previously served on several more civic boards.
Dan Keating is a past president of Valley National Bank in Tulsa where he presently serves on the bank’s board of directors. He is a past finance committee chairman of the Oklahoma Historical Society Board. All in, he has thirty years of banking and financial services leadership experience.
Daniel and his wife Kathy have two sons, Matthew and Bryan.
