Community Involvement

Summit Consolidated Group is proud of its civic involvement and leadership in helping build our communities. Our civic interest spans many years and stretches from our roots in Oklahoma to Texas, through Arkansas and into Connecticut. Our associates give their time and resources to many organizations including:

Goodwill Industries

Goodwill Industries serves people with workplace disadvantages and disability by providing employement and training. Summit's management group serves on the Board of Directors in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Fort Worth, Texas.

Metro Tulsa Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, an international movement was founded in 1865 and has operated in Tulsa since 1906. Summit associates support the Salvation Army programs and serve on the Advisory Board in Tulsa.

The State Chamber

The State Chamber is Oklahoma's voice for business advocacy. Summit is represented on the State Chamber Board in Oklahoma City. Summit supports the Chamber's Champion Program.

Tulsa Area United Way

Established in 1924, the United Way serves 65 health and human services members in six eastern Oklahoma counties. Summit associates work each year on the United Way Campaign. Summit associates have also served in executive positions.

SouthCrest Hospital

Since opening in 1999, SouthCrest has invested $106 million into the community. Healthcare is Summit's primary concern. We have held the hospital's chairmanship for a number of years.

Texas Association of Business

Texas Association of Business -- Texas' leading employer organization works to improve the Texas business climate. Summit leaders serve on this board.

Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame

The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame was created by Oklahoma State Legislature in 1988 its mission is to inspire creativity and improve the quality of life for all Oklahomans through preservation, education and performance of jazz, our uniquely American art form. Summit associates currently serve on the board and have been active volunteers since the inception of the organization.

The Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Tulsa is a home away from home for families whose child is being cared for by Tulsa Hospitals. Summit associates support the The Ronald McDonald House programs and serve on the Board of Directors.

Additional Areas of Interest

Summit associates give of their time and support to the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Little Lighthouse, Junior Philharmonic, The Broken Arrow Chamber Ambassador's Club, Blue Star Mothers, Arthritis Foundation, Parent Child Center, Boy Scouts, Tulsa Boys Home, Literacy for Life, The Singing Church Women of Oklahoma and other local Churches and schools.
